Flow Days – Bike & Yoga at Wechsel

The second round of the Flow Days is just around the corner. I had the opportunity to join the first event in July and experience the intense flow firsthand. The agenda included mountain biking on the Wexl Trails, yoga sessions, stand-up paddleboarding, and a generous dose of wellness.

Welcome to the Wexltrails

We kicked off Friday with a relaxed gathering at the Wexl Lounge, sipping on refreshing “WelcoOhm” drinks. It was the perfect opportunity to mingle with fellow participants and discuss the program ahead. After a brief introduction, we teamed up with mental and MTB coach Eva Rümmele and hopped on the rented e-bikes for a skill training at the trail park’s parking lot. This training was tailored specifically for beginners, providing them with a solid foundation before embarking on the Wexl Trails together.

Once the training was complete, we wasted no time and hit the trails. The uphill trail, with its playful features, immediately set the tone for an exhilarating flow experience. We started with the green “Bergabradweg” to ease into it and later tackled the blue “Flow Trail.”

Cool Down Yoga

After a few enjoyable rounds on the Wexl Trails, we indulged in a “Cool-Down Yoga Session” led by Bike & Balance. It was the perfect way to unwind and relax after an eventful day.

Following the yoga session, we headed to the Molzbachhof for dinner. The cozy beer garden provided a delightful setting as we enjoyed the evening menu. Soon after, we retired to our rooms to recharge for the next day.

Feel Good Vibes

The following morning, after a restful night and a satisfying “Feel Good Breakfast,” we began the day with a rejuvenating Morning-Yoga Session. Originally planned at the storage pond above the trail park, where a stand-up paddleboarding session was scheduled, the weather forced us to make a slight change in plans.

Undeterred by the rain, we moved the yoga session to the Molzbachhof premises. The gentle sound of raindrops created a soothing ambiance, enhancing our yoga experience.

Additionally, we had ample time to explore the hotel’s wellness offerings. We took advantage of the sauna and cooled down in the natural swimming pond, allowing ourselves to fully unwind and embrace the flow of the day.

The Flow Days program caters to women who are passionate about MTB and yoga, and it takes place multiple times a year. The next event in the Flow Days series is already scheduled for September 3rd and 4th, 2021.
