Yes, Vienna is a green city. But did you know that the urban hinterland is also quite good for mountain biking? Vienna is surrounded by forest and little mountains. We just recently learned to appreciate our backyard with its mountainbike trails as the perfect area for our training and bike vacation preparations. And the good thing is – the trails are easily accessible by public transport.
shuttle to Moedling
Most of the peaks are part of Lower Austria (just out of the city). You have quite some tracks in the west (e.g. Fairplay Trail) and the more traily south (Anninger, Lindkogel & Harzberg). There is a lot to explore and we will do so over the next months.
