On Bali you may find one of the best surf spots in Southeast Asia. We came here for surfing (again), but unexpectedly discovered some really nice trails for cross country and downhill biking.
While enjoying the hospitality at The Chillhouse in Canggu, we opted for one day of downhill biking and a cross country tour from Bendugul to Mengwi.

During the DH sessions we had the pleasure of racing through changing landscapes with different soil conditions, manoeuvring through forests and bamboo, jumping over roots and stones and sliding through (mainly red) sand, while the XC tour was a mixture of a constant battle against steep ascents in the hilly area and admiring the beautiful rice paddies of the surroundings.

Mountainbiking is a rising sport in Bali. Therefore, they are already some international events held at this versatile destination.
